Academy Purpose
Fort Worth FC is committed to developing players and building competitive soccer in the Tarrant County area of the North Texas Metroplex. The goal of the FWFC Academy program is to provide playing opportunities and accelerate the development of players before they reach competitive soccer age. We participate in several top Academy leagues yet the emphasis at our Academy is not on creating ultra-competitive environments; our focus is player development. There will be ample opportunity to focus on trophies and winning when children reach competitive select soccer age.

We are fortunate to live in an area widely regarded as one of the top soccer talent hotbeds in the country. Participation in our academy program exposes your young soccer player to game play with and against some of the most talented players in their age group. Academy players will have the opportunity to participate in weekly team and skills sessions with one of our

top coaches and have the opportunity to participate as a FWFC Academy player in the NTSSA Classic Academy League (CAL), Super Development League (SDL), PrimeTime Sports Academy League (PSAL) and indoor seasons at GameOn Arena.
The Academy Program is not intended to replace recreational soccer participation. Instead, the goal is to work side-by-side with the local recreational soccer associations to help build stronger, soccer savvy players in North Texas. We intend to achieve this through providing players with coaching and coaches that we believe to be among the very best in North Texas, whilst giving them the opportunity to be a part of one of our top Academy teams that consistently compete with the best teams in the area. At FWFC, we believe soccer players develop faster when they play with and against players at similar or slightly better skills levels. For the advanced player, this element of competition is crucial for player development.
Any player can participate year round in indoor soccer leagues as part of our Academy program. However, mainly full time FWFC Academy players participate in PAL, SDL or Primetime Leagues as this season usually runs concurrent with the recreational soccer season. |

It is possible to do both although conflicts are likely to arise. When this is the case and PAL, SDL and/or Primetime games are scheduled for the same time as recreational games or practices, FWFC Academy has no problem with recreational league play taking priority.
